Rhenafac AB-11 is used as a wetting and dispersing agent in solvent-based and solvent-free coatings and printing inks. It stabilizes inorganic pigments, especially titanium dioxide, and can significantly reduce millbase viscosity. The additive deflocculates pigments through steric hindrance. Since the deflocculated pigment particles are very small, high gloss and enhanced color intensity can be achieved, and transparency and hiding power are also increased. The additive reduces viscosity, thereby improving flowability and increasing pigment addition. It can significantly reduce haze during electrostatic high-speed spin coating of inorganic pigment coatings. Due to its anionic nature, the additive is ideal for acid-catalyzed systems (such as coil coatings).
