Celite 499SP is primarily used as a filler in specialty rubbers, such as fluororubber (FKM) and acrylic acrylate (ACM) rubbers, and is commonly used in light-colored products. In the coatings industry, it serves as a carrier, replacing some titanium dioxide, aiding its dispersion and enhancing color development. In the rubber industry, it replaces some silica, improving shear and tear resistance, enhancing corrosion resistance, improving crosslinking with metals, and enhancing the thermal stability of rubber products.
