Celite 499 is a functional additive and calcined diatomite mineral product. It is a white powder with typical particle size of 9 microns. CELITE 499 has high oil and water absorption capacities of 185% and 194% respectively due to its porous structure and high surface area. These absorption properties of CELITE 499 make it suitable for filtration, clarification and separation applications in industrial processes. CELITE 499 also has low moisture content of less than 1% and is chemically inert with high purity of silica content at 89.6%, allowing it to be used in high temperature industrial applications without affecting product quality or causing safety issues.
